When partners Jerry Sala and Stephen Riservato opened their pizzeria/restaurant, they agreed that the dishes would be a blend of their own styles of cooking. The men have a great partnership and their recipes blend to make for delicious fare. Gino’s of Lindenhurst is not your typical pizza place. It has the relaxed feeling of a pizzeria but the food has a gourmet taste.
Their vodka sauce is some of the best we ever tasted. House specialties, calamari a la vodka and penne a la vodka are superb. All their pizzas have become signature dishes and they bake their breads daily. In fact, everything on their huge menu are all considered favorites by their loyal customers.
We started with a slice of vodka sauce pizza, sweet and delicious. Then we tried their meat lasagna with a savory red sauce; and the popular linguine de mare with white sauce. Portions are generous and entrees come with a fresh, crisp house salad. You really get your monies worth here!
The setting is bright with blues, turquoise and yellow throughout. Music plays in the background - golden oldies that you want to sing along with.
Jerry and Stephen offer dishes like “your grandmother made” - hearty wholesome food for the family. Their motto - “we make you full and you leave happy.” They certainly live up to their motto everyday.
