For generations people have been enjoying the fine food and pizza at Borrelli's with its casual ambiance. In 1955, Frank, Al and Phil Borrelli opened their family friendly restaurant serving homemade Italian fare. Now in the 21st century, the decor has changed, the restaurant has expanded to include a party room and bar room but there are still Borrellis at the helm. Frank Borrelli, his sister Angela and their families keep a watchful eye to make sure the food and service is just the way his dad and uncles intended.
We heard diners say, “I haven’t been here since I was a kid”...or
“We’re back again, third time this week.” Everyone returns to Borrelli’s for the home cooked flavors and hospitable service. We sampled everybody’s favorite, Meatballs and Spaghetti; their signature Chef’s Mixed Salad with an incredible house dressing; Baked Clams topped with flavorful breadcrumbs; and homemade Manicotti, all classic dishes that were on the menu in 1955 and still delight customers today. Capellini Marechiara, a special, was an awesome mix of fresh seafood in a zesty pink clam sauce. Warm homemade bread and luscious homemade desserts completed our sensational meal.
The dining room is warm and casual with exposed bricks, comfortable booths and a lively atmosphere. Bring the kids for a night of pizza and salad, or a date for a four course dinner with fine wine. The bar room is buzzing with excitement on Karaoke Friday nights when amateurs become singers. Saturday night is reserved for live music when the professionals perform. Borrelli’s, a Long Island favorite for 55 years, is still going strong.
