Pizzaiola is the quintessential friendly casual restaurant. Owner Peter Romanelli, who grew up working in pizzerias, knows his customers, many by name. He even named some of the dishes after a few. His staff follows his lead and offers friendly efficient service.

Pizzaiola draws customers from every age group - young families, couples, and seniors all flock here because they know a good thing.

Pizzaiola, which translates to "pizza maker," is so much more than pizza. The varied menu lists fresh creative salads; heros and platters; pastas from familiar ones like linguini with authentic clam sauce to a more complex southern Italian favoite, Rigatoni Montanara; and entrees which include Chicken Verde; Eggplant Rollatini; and, of course, Chicken or Veal Pizzaiola. A changing menu of specials might include Larry's Lamb Chops, lightly breaded and pan seared smothered in caramelized onions, mushrooms in a savory brown sauce. And, yes, they make delcious pizza - by the slice, by the pie, and special varieties like their famous Buffalo Chicken pie. Some of their mouth-watering pizzas are baked in their wood-fired brick oven.

The contemporary place has a busy pizza counter and continues to include a comfortable bi-level dining room with booths, banquets and decorative curved plexiglass wall designs on one side of the large space.

Join Peter and his staff for some real home cooking, Italian style where everything starts with fresh high quality ingredients.
